Highton General Practice

Our Pathologist offers a comprehensive range of tests, including blood tests, heart monitoring, ECGs, and more, available onsite Monday through Friday. No appointment is necessary for most tests.

While Medicare covers most tests, additional charges may apply for services such as ECGs and certain specialized tests.
 

If your GP has recommended a test, they will provide you with a form detailing your testing requirements. Please bring this form to the pathology collection nurse when you visit. Your GP will also inform you if you need to prepare for a test, such as fasting or adjusting medications.
 

Test results are typically available within 2-3 days after collection. In some cases, your GP may send you an SMS if the results are normal. If further discussion is needed, you’ll be asked to book an appointment to review the results and ensure the best care.
