Mental Health
Highton General Practice
At some point, most of us face mental health challenges – whether they’re occasional or more frequent. When those times arise, many turn to their GP for support to begin the healing process.
Whether you’re seeking someone to talk to or need a referral to a specialist, our doctors are here to listen and help. They can also assess your eligibility for a Mental Health Care Plan, which provides access to Medicare rebates for up to 20 counselling sessions per year, helping to cover some of the costs of seeing a mental health professional.
Our experienced GPs are currently providing care for patients dealing with:
-
Anxiety and depression
-
Eating disorders (including anorexia and bulimia)
-
Grief and loss
-
Personality disorders
-
Relationship issues
-
Stress
-
Substance abuse
If you’re struggling, our Doctors are here to support your mental and emotional well-being. Let us help you take the first step toward feeling better.
